“Grief is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corner of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and the hallow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go.”
Jamie Anderson
Grief is Love
I am so sorry for your loss. The loss of a loved one is heartbreaking and can be difficult to talk about. It can come with confusing emotions that seem to come out of nowhere. Well meaning family and friends can say hurtful and harmful things, which can leave you feeling alone and confused.
Whether your person recently passed away or it has been years, grief continues to be your constant companion. That is because grief is love and I will never ask you to stop loving your person. If you would like to find ways to integrate grief into your life as you forge a path forward, please reach out and we will journey this path together.
Grief therapy is a place where you can explore all of your emotions, including anger, frustration, heartache, sadness and love. It is a space to sit with and process your emotions. Whether you want to come for just a few sessions or you prefer to stay longer, we can work together to integrate grief into your life.
Wendy is a trained Compassionate Bereavement Provider by the MISS Foundation and has worked with clients experiencing traumatic grief and loss, the loss of a child and loss of loved ones to suicide. Wendy also brings compassion and understanding to the therapy room through her personal experiences of traumatic loss.
Traumatic Grief
Traumatic grief is the loss of a loved one that is “out of order” such as the loss of a child, at any age, or the loss of a loved one due to traumatic events.
